Marta Parreño

Barcelona, 1980. She is editor (of books), journalist and filmmaker. She has written and directed seven short films and has won numerous awards at national and international festivals. In 2009 she won the First National Short Film Competition Amanece que no es corto with the short film Las piedras no aburren [Stones Are Not Boring]. The following year she wrote and directed Una Flor en Recepción [A flower at the Reception], finalist of the 2012 spanish Goya Awards and awarded with 25 prizes worldwide. Then came La Casa de Arriba [The House above] (2011), Luna de Miel [Honeymoon] (2012) and the experimental trilogy on the transit between life and death formed by Mudanza [The move] (2013), Alquimia [Alchemy] (2015) and Imago (2017). As a journalist she has collaborated with El Periódico de Catalunya, La Vanguardia and The Objective, among other media. She currently combines her work as an editor with poetry writing and sporadic collaboration with some media. You can watch her productions on her Vimeo channel.
